During the weekend you will get the chance to investigate unusual happenings, even a murder or two
& use those sleuthing skills you have think you have!The weekend is designed to allow you plenty of time
to solve the mystery as well as visiting the many attractions of Birmingham. This individualistic, traditional
3 star hotel has 44 well appointed en suite bedrooms, a restaurant, an English  pub, Lounge bar, garden
and plenty of free car parking and is a short walk from Broad Street, the symphony hall, galleries
& other attractions in the city centre.

The Murder Mystery weekend breaks are ideal for couples, groups of friends, celebration or special
occasions or a weekend break with a difference.

All weekends are priced at £129.50 per person sharing a twin or double room.
Single occupancy is available for £179.50 per person.

17th and 18th May 2013 - The Convention

“Planet Patrol”, the cult eighties sci-fi show that had everyone glued to their seats,
is holding its annual convention once again. Even after the show had fizzled out,
the cast, crew, and die-hard fans have continued to meet up.
However, this year may be one of the member’s last.

18th and 19th October 2013 - The Night Stalker

A journal has been found in the cellars of Hockton Hall. It apparently details the
chilling account of one man’s hunt for a Vampire. Written many years ago the
find has caused a lot of excitement. Kelvin Smith a noted parapsychologist
is the guest of honour tonight at a special dinner of paranormal investigators
where no doubt the main topic of discussion will be the journal. Should Kelvin
be careful of what he says and who he speaks to?
What are the causes of the mysterious deaths at Hockton Hall?

A typical weekend timings will be: 
Friday
From 2pm : arrive at the hotel anytime during the afternoon
and check in to your bedrooms
7.30pm: Gather in the lounge bar to meet your fellow guests
(investigators) for a pre dinner drink – there may even be a murder!
8pm: Dinner (3 course) is served in the Terrace restaurant with
 events continuing to unfold
10.30pm: the evening concludes (Retire to the bar, have a drink
and discuss the evidence with your fellow sleuths!) 

Saturday
8 to 9.30am: Enjoy a full English Breakfast in the restaurant
9.30am to 12 noon: The mystery continues in the Lounge with
your chance to ask questions and interrogate suspects.
12 noon till 7.30 pm – free time for you to visit any of the local
attractions, take a walk in the gardens or along the canals or
visit the Bullring for a bit of retail therapy.
7.30pm: the fun continues in the lounge bar – what could have
happened during the intervening hours?
8.00pm: Dinner (3 course) in the Terrace Restaurant as events
continue to unfold
10.30pm: the evening concludes. (Retire to the bar, have
a drink & discuss the evidence with your fellow sleuths!) 

Sunday
8 to 9.30am: Enjoy a full English Breakfast in the restaurant
10:00am till 10.30am: Meet in the lounge and Terrace 
restaurant where the murderer will be indentified.
Will you be the sleuth with the most accurate answers who wins a prize?
Depart for a safe journey home. 

Terms and Conditions

A deposit of £50.00 per person is required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation. Payment can be made by credit card (a receipt will be sent to you) or by cheque.

In the event of a cancellation the deposit is refundable if the cancellation is made more than 42 days before the date of the Friday of the event weekend.

Deposits are not refundable under any other circumstances.

The hotel recommends that customers consider obtaining insurance to cover them in the event of cancellation and other unforeseen circumstances.
