Engagement reduced

The Best Western Plough & Harrow Hotel has 2 suites licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies, and with permission from the Registry Office of Birmingham City Council our Gardens may also be used for an outside ceremony in the warmer months.

You can be sure of a Red Carpet Welcome when you hold a Civil Wedding Ceremony, Partnership Ceremony, Renewal of Vows, Commitment Ceremony and Naming Ceremony.  We can cater for a small intimate group or a large congregation of up to a maximum of 100 guests depending upon your individual requirements.

The historic Grade II listed Victorian building, with its large curved patio, lawns and garden make a stunning backdrop for photographs to record your important day.

Your suite can be laid out with a centre aisle so the bride can be escorted into the room with all guests seated before the ceremony begins.  It is up to you if you want to organise any flowers or decoration for the room and this can be discussed with our event coordinator beforehand. There is a facility for music of your choice to be played, usually for the brides arrival, during the signing of the register and for the bride and grooms departure. Our licence conditions stipulate that any music played must be secular in nature with no religious content.  If required, we are able to provide a bedroom for the bride to use for changing before the ceremony.
